07 February, 12 The Ford Focus has been named as Europe's Best in Class small family car by Euro NCAP. Building on the company's ideology of delivering safety and reliability to its fleet customers, the firm was proud to accept one of only five Best in Class awards from the organisation this month, with the judges swayed by the vehicle's five-star Euro NCAP safety rating and its four Euro NCAP Advanced rewards for safety features. "This award has special meaning because designing and building the safest vehicles possible is a core value at Ford," said Stephen Odell, chairman and chief executive officer at Ford of Europe. He added that the Focus is a prime example of the company's commitment to improving safety for all its customers. Last month, the firm was also honoured at the annual BusinessCar Awards, with the Ford C-Max picking up the Compact multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) of the Year trophy.
