14 February, 12 Vehicle manufacturer BMW has announced it is to showcase the latest in technologies for fleet vehicles at the upcoming EV & Low CO2 Fleet Show at Silverstone. Set to take place on April 18th at the world-famous racing circuit, the event will see BMW unveiling its new I concept model, while a number of other companies will be highlighting their latest fuel-efficient offerings, including Vauxhall's Ampera E-REV and Volvo's XC60 plug-in hybrid. Ross Durkin, managing editor of organiser Fleet World, said: "Motor manufacturers around the world have fully embraced the need to offer low-emission vehicles, although at present there is no single technology that dominates the market." He added that the event will provide a perfect opportunity for fleet managers to learn more about what the future holds in terms of energy-efficient designs. Set to highlight the latest low-carbon diesel, hybrid and electric vehicles, the EV & Low CO2 Fleet Show will also provide the opportunity for fleet managers to test drive many of the vehicles on show.
