15 February, 12 British Car Auctions (BCA) has revealed figures showing last month was extremely positive for the light commercial vehicle (LCV) sector in the UK. The latest BCA Commercial Pulse showed LCV values rose by 4.8 per cent to £4,483 on average in comparison to the previous month, with sales volumes nearly double those seen in December. Duncan Ward, BCA's general manager for commercial vehicles, commented: "As in previous years, January has been a very strong month for commercial vehicle sales, with high levels of demand and strong prices across the board." Year on year, the figures were also substantially higher, with the equivalent of a 6.1 per cent improvement in values. Earlier this month, the Finance & Leasing Association revealed 2011 was a record year for the purchase of new vehicles on finance in the UK.
