Bristol Water has renewed its long-running fleet supply deal with Peugeot for another four years.

The water supply company has just received its first models as part of the new agreement with the French vehicle manufacturer, which dates back to the 1980s.

No fewer than 18 new Expert vans will be provided to Bristol Water during the renewed deal, in addition to another 11 cars from the 308 range.

Bristol Water’s fleet manager Csaba Ujvari explained the process that saw them stick with Peugeot, by saying: “A tender went out to all manufacturers and was won by Peugeot for both car and vans for four years.

“This latest deal builds on the relationship we have established with Peugeot over many years.”

Martin Gurney, director of fleet at PSA Group UK, added that this latest vehicle supplier deal was “an important step” for Peugeot that maintained and further developed its relationship with Bristol Water.

The majority of Bristol Water’s new Expert vans are standard length, in the ‘professional’ trim and powered by the latest BlueHDi 93bhp 1.6-litre diesel engine, which meets the stringent Euro-6 emissions criteria.

Standard equipment for this particular variant includes a DAB digital radio with seven-inch touchscreen, a USB socket and Bluetooth connectivity, as well as air conditioning, electrically-adjustable heated door mirrors, rear parking sensors and the 'moduwork' folding passenger bench seat with load-through bulkhead and under-seat storage space.

In addition to twin-sliding side-loading doors, a full height steel bulkhead, cruise control and driver adjustable speed limiter, Bristol Water’s new Experts will come equipped with sat-nav to help drivers find their way and keep fuel consumption to a minimum.

Ben Robb, brand manager at The Fuelcard People, adds: “Peugeot’s vans and cars have proven themselves to be dependable and cost-effective over the years, and these factors are sure to have played a part in Bristol Water’s decision to sign a new four-year agreement."
