Anyone who drives a Fiat, Jeep or Alfa Romeo as their company car can take part in special off-road and track driving events, as part of a new scheme launched by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles UK (FCA).
Open to drivers of FCA products or competitors’ cars obtained for business use, the scheme aims to help business drivers appreciate the group’s models by putting them to the test during Jeep off-road adventures and track days with Alfa Romeo and Abarth.
Members of the scheme could win tickets for FCA brand events, such as the Goodwood Festival of Speed and Farnborough Air Show, as well as attend Company Car in Action – the UK’s largest multi-brand fleet test-driving event, which is usually reserved for fleet managers.
There’s also the chance to gain direct access to FCA’s vehicle demonstrator fleet, meaning they can test drive the full range of Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Fiat and Jeep models without having to visit a dealer.
Simon Wheeler, national fleet marketing manager at FCA UK, hoped the club would add value to owning one of their cars by rewarding loyalty. He also expects it to make the selection process easier for drivers when considering a Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Jeep, Abarth or Fiat Professional vehicle.
“We want to incentivise company car drivers of competitor products to get to know the FCA product range and give our cars a try,” Mr Wheeler explained.
“The company car is one of the most exciting perks of a job but, whether it’s a benefit of status or an essential business tool, choosing the right car for the job is an important decision. This is especially true if you’re going to spend several years in that vehicle or going to undertake serious mileage.”
Ben Robb, brand manager at The Fuelcard People, added: “Fiat has introduced some legitimately fleet-friendly models in recent years, such as the 500X, 500L and Golf-rivalling Tipo, so this is a great way to fuel interest from company car drivers.”
