Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has announced another record month for sales performance in August, building on an impressive year to date.
The company witnessed a 28 per cent annual rise in vehicle sales last month at 27,852 units across its ranges. Sales for the Jaguar marque were among the most impressive, however, with a 92 per cent upturn on the same month last year.
Overall, during the calendar year to date, the company has reported a 16 per cent increase in sales in comparison to the same period of 2012.
Phil Popham, JLR group sales operations director, said: "The Jaguar XJ and XF, the Range Rover Evoque and the Land Rover Freelander are up significantly, whilst the new Range Rover and F-TYPE continue to attract new buyers to our brands."
He added August was an extremely strong month for the brand, with sales growth among both new and established model lines.
