Custom engine manufacturer and importer EP Barrus has strengthened its loyalty to Toyota after ordering 29 vehicles from the Japanese car maker.

The fleet order – which comprises Auris and RAV4 hybrids, as well as diesel Avensis models – has just been fulfilled with the cars being handed over at the company’s Bicester headquarters. Each car is expected to cover up to 50,000 miles of business travel a year.

Additionally, Barrus has also commissioned two new Hilux for its workshop operations and has chosen two Lexus RX luxury SUVs as company director vehicles.

EP Barrus is the distributor for Toyota Industrial Engines, specialised units for non-road applications that can run on different fuels such as liquefied petroleum gas and compressed natural gas.

Robert Muir, managing director of EP Barrus Ltd, explained why he opted to go with Toyota yet again for his company’s fleet car needs.

“Toyota have proved to offer the most reliable vehicles and meet the exacting standards our after sales teams require,” he commented.

“These teams spend a lot of time in their cars, so it is important they are in a comfortable and safe environment.”

Neil Broad, general manager of Toyota Fleet Services, added: “We have an excellent, longstanding relationship with EP Barrus. Their new fleet order highlights the diversity of models that Toyota and Lexus fleet services are able to provide, meeting the needs of users in every area of their business.”

Ben Robb, brand manager at The Fuelcard People, concluded: “Any organisation looking for reliable, efficient and comfortable company car should have Toyota on their shortlist of options.”
