Wrapping presents isn’t easy, but we are here to help with our simple present wrapping guide! Grab your paper and sticky tape and follow our instructions for presents that look professionally wrapped*!

1. Get your presents all together, well in advance of Christmas Eve. This can be done last minute, but present wrapping is stressful enough without giving yourself a strict time limit too! Start early, get some mince pies and put some Michael Buble on, and it’ll be much easier!

2. Gather together all of your wrapping materials, we recommend wrapping paper, scissors, sticky tape, ribbon and gift tags.

3. Make sure the price tags are removed from the gifts before you wrap them – there is nothing worse than wrapping a present and realising you’ve left the price on!

4. Roll out your wrapping paper, and place your present lengthways on top, and unroll enough paper to wrap over the top of the gift with about 2 inches to spare. Check there is enough paper at the sides of the gift too!

5. Mark the paper with a pencil where it needs to be cut and carefully slice using scissors. Make sure you cut in a straight line, no jaggedy edges!

6. Check you have enough paper to completely wrap the present – if not go back to step four!

7. Place the gift upside down in the centre of the paper (on the unprinted side!). Bring in both lengthwise edges of the wrapping paper to the centre of the gift and stick down with tape.

8. Turn the half wrapped gift so that one short end is facing you. Hold the left and right edge of the wrapping paper and push the sides in to form a triangle, ensuring sharp creases. Fold down the peak of the triangle, and then tape down.

9. Repeat step eight at the other end of the gift.

10. With the gift upside down, place a length of ribbon under the gift and bring it over the top. At the point where the ribbon meets the seam at the back of the gift, twist it around in a cross shape and take the ribbon around to the front of the gift and tie in a bow.

11. Add a gift tag to ensure your beautifully wrapped gift meets its intended recipient!

Good luck!
