Volkswagen Commercial vehicles (VCV) is set to debut its all-new Caddy Bluemotion model at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show.

Designed to be the most fuel-efficient Caddy variant to date – running on just 4.5 litres of fuel for every 100 km (62.8 miles per gallon) – the flexible model can soon be purchased as either a passenger carrier or panel van.

Thanks to its onboard 60-litre fuel tank, this delivers a theoretical range between refuelling for the new model of 1,300 km (more than 800 miles).

Furthermore, the Caddy Bluemotion promises to be extremely green, with the commercial version putting out just 117 g/km of CO2, while for the passenger variant this rises to just 119 g/km.

Open to the public from September 12th to 22nd, the Frankfurt Motor Show is now in its 65th year and promises to offer an array of automotive spectacles and unveilings to delight attendees over the coming weeks.
