Vehicle breakdown and recovery specialist the AA has been awarded a coveted Which? 'recommended provider' status after coming out on top in a survey carried out by the consumer watchdog.
This is the eighth consecutive year the company has been voted top of the Which? breakdown provider survey, with the organisation receiving an overall score of 87 per cent in terms of its car-maker branded cover.
According to the results, the AA was able to fix 71 per cent of the vehicles it attended at the roadside in the last 12 months – compared to 45 per cent for the lowest-ranked provider – while the AA also came joint top for the fastest response times for its members.
Andrew Strong, AA chief executive, commented: "To come convincingly top and, for the eighth successive year, hold a Which? accolade is great testament to the service our patrols and call centre employees provide."
