The Honda CR-V has picked up the prestigious honour of being named 4×4 of the Year for 2012 by Total 4×4 Magazine.
Editor of the magazine Alan Kidd commented: "Seldom has a new 4×4 put such a big tick in so many boxes. It takes an awful lot to impress us these days. The new CR-V didn't just impress us – it made our jaws drop."
Aspects of the CR-V which inspired the judges' decision included the excellent interior quality of the vehicle, as well as its comfort and practicality.
Mr Kidd added that it was clear early on that Honda had really "hit the jackpot" when bringing together this popular and high-quality vehicle.
Earlier this month, the Ford Ranger was named Pick-Up of the Year 2013 by 4×4 Magazine.
Nigel Fryatt, 4×4 Magazine editor, said that the model came out top in its stringent tests for overall ability, with no other pick-up coming close in this last year.
