Road safety organisation Brake has set up a seminar to highlight the benefits of in-vehicle technology for fleet safety.

Set to take place in Birmingham on January 23rd, the event will showcase the latest systems by vehicle manufacturers that aim to prevent accidents and give drivers greater awareness and faster response times when behind the wheel.

A number of experienced academics and fleet professionals will be making presentations at the seminar, including senior research fellow for the Institute for Transport Studies at the University of Leeds Dr Natasha Merat and Andy Cozens, senior consultant at GreenRoad.

Ellie Pearson, senior professional engagement officer at Brake, said: "New technologies are allowing fleets to keep their drivers and vehicles safer than ever before, protecting employees and company reputations, and saving money."

Earlier this month, the organisation also warned motorists to prepare for the onset of winter, encouraging Brits to be aware of the dangers of driving in snow and ice.
