Brake has announced plans to offer fleet managers across the UK the opportunity to improve their knowledge of road safety as a part of a free safety forum.
The event is being put on in the run-up to the inaugural Road Safety Week that is taking place in November and will call on fleets to sign up to seminars and talks on the dangers of excessive speed and a lack of awareness by motorists in general.
Brake deputy chief executive Julie Townsend says: "Road Safety Week is an opportunity for fleet operators to show real leadership on promoting safe road use, to help foster a safe driving culture internally and promote road safety among customers."
Ms Townsend added persuading drivers to slow down is a vital life-saving message.
Earlier this month, Brake awarded MP for Stirling Anne McGuire the honour of being named this month's Road Safety Parliamentarian for her efforts to highlight the dangers of foreign trucks on the UK's roads.
