The Nissan Cabstar has been named the light truck of the year at the 2012 VansA2Z awards.
Judges highlighted the spacious and comfortable seating area for the driver and passengers, as well as the array of wheelbase choice for buyers and excellent load capacity.
According to editor of VansA2Z Neil McIntee, the vehicle is designed to be an uncomplaining workhorse and it fulfils this role perfectly.
James Douglas, corporate sales director for Nissan Motor (GB), commented: "The Cabstar is perfect for urban environments and delivers value to any business with low cost of ownership and exceptional manoeuvrability."
Earlier this month, the vehicle manufacturer celebrated the first anniversary of the UK launch of its Leaf model – the brand's first 100 per cent electric vehicle.
The Leaf features numerous technical innovations, not least of which is its ability to harvest energy through its regenerative braking system to recharge itself.
