The Abarth 500 has been highlighted as one of the best vehicles in the UK to avoid depreciation following the publication of a new poll by valuation specialists CAP.
Building long-term value into its models is the main tenet of the vehicle manufacturer, with this ethos having served the company well in the latest research, which showed the Abarth 500 held 60 per cent of its value after three years and 30,000 miles of use.
Overall, the model was pipped by just the Audi Q5 and Skoda Yeti as the least depreciating vehicle in the UK.
"Right from the start we had the plan to build in long-term value to the Abarth brand," commented Ivan Gibson, head of Abarth in the UK.
"A sustainable cost of ownership is something we have always been able to offer Abarth drivers."
Delivering 135 bhp from its 1.4-litre turbo-charged engine, the Abarth 500 is also extremely economical and sustainable, averaging 33 mpg and just 155 g/km of CO2 emissions.
