Car manufacturer Ford has announced it is supplying 130 fleet vehicles to Daniel Contractors – a support services business for the utilities, marine, civil engineering and energy sectors.
Daniel will take charge of Mondeo and Ford Focus models as part of the deal, with the vehicles offering significant fuel efficiency benefits for the company, featuring reduced CO2 output in comparison to Daniel's previous fleet offerings.
Paul Boulds, head of transport at Daniel, added: "As a responsible business, we were looking for a product that met the high environmental standards we wanted to achieve while also providing benefit-in-kind advantages for our employees."
He added that the reduction in fuel consumption provided by the new fleet will have significant environmental and cost benefits.
Earlier this month, tyre manufacturer Bridgestone announced the firm has signed a new agreement with Nissan to provide a fleet of vans for the company's engineers for the inspection of tyres for UK bus services.
