Allstar Fuel Card Services has announced a new fee is to be attached to its cards.

The company is introducing a new £2 'network service fee' that will be applicable every time you purchase fuel.

A £2 charge if you purchase £50 of fuel, and a £2 charge if you just top up with £10 of diesel or petrol.

Jakes de Kock, marketing director at Allstar, stated: "We accept some customers are not going to be happy and they are obviously welcome to go to another fuel-buying solution."

He added that the firm has faced problems in recent months migrating some of its larger clients to its new Global Fleet Network, resulting in problems in reporting for some customers.

Indeed, Fleet News recently revealed that some fleet managers reported having to wait more than 30 minutes for calls to be answered during the height of problems with the company's data migration, while the firm's website was also offline during this critical period.

It comes as traffic to Allstar's call centre has increased dramatically in recent months, as its customers attempt to get to grips with a new online accounting system.
