Citroen has announced it is calling time on the production of its popular Berlingo First model after more than 140,000 units have been sold since its launch in 1996.
The company is committed to calling a day on one of its most successful fleet options of the last 15 years, with businesses across the UK having taken to the Berlingo First from the start due to its flexibility and reliability.
Tony Watson of Mill Autoquip commented: "Our vans have to earn their keep and in three years will clock up around 100,000 miles over some pretty tough terrain."
Despite this, Mr Watson still sees people queuing up to buy Berlingo Firsts when they come to the end of their lives.
The news follows a recent accolade for the Berlingo, with the vehicle named the Institute of Transport Managers' (ITM) Best Light Commercial Vehicle of 2012.
ITM judges said they were impressed by the vehicle's excellent drivability, fuel efficiency and low emissions.
