Vehicle manufacturer BMW has won a number of top titles at this year's Auto Express New Car Honours.

The best executive car accolade was picked up by the MW 520d EfficientDynamics Saloon, while a number of other vehicles also performed excellently to take home titles.

Auto Express' editor in chief Steve Fowler said: "It sounds too good to be true, but the amalgamation of great looks, a brilliant drive and affordable running costs makes the BMW 1 Series, 3 Series and 5 Series all worthy winners."

Furthermore, the manufacturer picked up this year's fleet manager of the year award – the third year in a row in which the company has come out on top in this category.

Ford also celebrated two titles at this year's event, with its new 250PS Focus ST model being named best hot hatch of 2012 and the C-Max taking the best five-seat MPV award.
