Road safety charity Brake has announced it is to hold an online webinar highlighting the importance of detailing sustainable travel plans for fleet managers.

Set to take place on April 10th, the webinar will include presentations by associate for Transport and Travel Research Sarah Clifford, director of research at the Telework Association Peter Thomson and internal environment management advisor for the Environment Agency Tom Norton.

Ellie Pearson, senior professional engagement officer at Brake, said: "It has never been more important for all kinds of business to address their environmental impact and build a reputation for sustainability."

As such, all those interested in boosting their green credentials are being urged to sign up to take part in the online event.

The news follows recent comments from Ellen Booth, senior campaigns officer at Brake, who last month applauded the government's decision to scrap potential plans to increase motorway speed limits to 80 mph.

She said that doing so would have led to an increased risk of high-speed collisions and accidents.
