GreenRoad has highlighted the biggest challenges set to face fleet operators across the UK in the coming 12 months, with reducing fuel costs set to be one of the biggest concerns for firms.
According to the organisation's Fleet Leaders 2013 Outlook report, 56 per cent of respondents said they are 'cautiously optimistic' regarding the coming year, while 12 per claimed they are 'very optimistic'.
A number of concerns do play on the minds of fleet leaders across the UK though, including macro-economic uncertainties and the high price of fuel.
Tanya Roberts, senior vice president of marketing for GreenRoad, commented: "Overall we are encouraged by the optimism being expressed by fleet leaders. However, they still see plenty of challenges ahead."
Earlier this month, chancellor George Osborne announced in his Autumn Statement that the government will not be going ahead with plans for a 3p per litre rise in fuel duty in January.
The decision follows considerable backlash over ongoing high fuel prices by lobby groups, motoring organisations and the general public over recent months.
