The Commercial Vehicle (CV) Show 2014 promises to offer an array of insights for fleet managers into improving the efficiency of their vehicle management procedures.
Running from April 29th to May 1st at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, the event will provide numerous chances for guests to talk to industry experts on a range of matters pertinent to their profession, including fuel efficiency, driver safety, cost cutting, compliance and more.
Telematics also promises to be one of the most talked about new technologies being showcased at the event, with visitors receiving insight into the area from a number of exhibitors, including such companies as Tachodisc and Trakm8.
Karen Crispe, managing director of Tachodisc, commented: "The CV Show has become the main event of the CV industry calendar. It's the perfect opportunity to get the industry together under one roof, provides an excellent networking opportunity and gives exhibitors, large and small, the chance to demonstrate their latest innovations and developments."
Telematics is typically an integration of onboard vehicle tracking and data management systems that relates a detailed breakdown concerning driver efficiency and behaviour to managers.
It can be an invaluable tool in not only helping companies to keep tabs on their fleet's movements and levels of efficiency, but this information can also be used to demonstrate to insurers the safety of one's drivers, ensuring more favourable cover options can be explored.
"Efficiency and compliance; telematics and technology has become the glue that joins the two together," Ms Crispe concluded.
Overall, the CV Show promises to be a fantastic chance for businesses and members of the automotive and logistics professions to come together and discuss the future of their respective fields, while at the same time providing an exciting showcase of the newest vehicles coming to the market, providing plenty of attractions for all visitors.
