Glasgow City Council has announced the purchase of 31 new Fiat Doblo Work Up light commercial vehicles to bolster its fleet.

The commercial vehicles have been delivered as part of the ongoing four-year Framework Agreement between specialist Fiat Professional dealer Imperial Commercials Glasgow and the local authority.

"We are delighted with how the vehicles are performing and are looking forward to the addition of the new Doblo Work Up vehicles to the fleet," commented Emil Laiolo, transport manager at Glasgow City Council.

He added competitive whole-life costs and excellent environmental credentials have helped ensure the council remains fully committed to its partnership with Fiat.

The news follows the recent announcement that the Doblo Cargo has been named winner in the traders' choice category at the 2013 Trade Van Driver Magazine Awards.

It was praised for its unique bi-link rear suspension and lower loading height for ease of use by UK transport professionals.
