The forthcoming Fleet World Fleet Show will showcase the largest collection of electric vehicles in the event's history, organisers have said. Highlights will be live demonstrations of the Mitsubishi i-MiEV and the BMW i3.

Manufacturers including Renault, Nissan, Toyota, Honda and Hyundai will all be displaying their latest electric vehicle technology at the event, which is scheduled to take place at Silverstone race track on April 9th.

Show organiser and publisher of Fleet World Jerry Ramsdale said: "The electro-mobility movement is gaining impetus and Silverstone will be the ideal place to catch up on the very latest new models from a whole host of motor manufacturers."

Tesla will be booking test drives of its award-winning Model S premium sports saloon and manufacturers will also be displaying conventional models alongside their electric offerings. Additionally, a number of electric charging companies will be exhibiting at the show.

The Silverstone off-road circuit will be designated for 4×4 test drives, while the main track will be split into two sections – one for fast laps and the other for road speed drives.

The Fuelcard People's sister company MileageCount will also be exhibiting at The Fleet Show, demonstrating its exciting fleet management tools that can help businesses reduce their fuel use and carbon foot print. Visit them in Hall 1, Stand 10 to receive free licence checks, vehicle whole life cost calculations and more.
