Volkswagen (VW) Passenger Cars has announced it achieved strong sales performance across its range of models in November.
Overall, the company reported a 3.4 per cent upturn in sales volumes for the month at 522,110 units.
In addition, sales in the year to date – January to the end of November – were up by 3.4 per cent also in comparison to the same period last year, from 5.22 million to 5.4 million vehicles.
The Asia-Pacific region proved an extremely popular area for buyer activity in 2013 so far – up 15.8 per cent – while the North American market was stable with no change.
Christian Klingler, board member for sales and marketing at VW Group and VW Passenger Cars, said: "We expect to see further momentum from key countries such as China and the USA, where the Golf will be launched shortly. And we are constantly adding to the Golf family."
He added the new Golf Sportsvan, e-Golf and Golf Plug-In will all be launched in the new year.
