GEM Motoring Assist has published a new set of guidelines that could help drivers to keep their vehicle in the best condition possible this month.
According to the automotive organisation, February can be a tricky month, but there are some simple tips that can keep their car in top nick.
These include holding the ignition for slightly longer in order to allow the fuel pump to warm up on cold starts, as well as washing the car regularly – as any dirt stuck to paintwork can abrade it over time.
David Williams, chief executive officer of GEM Motoring Assist, commented: "It's never too late to start taking proper care of your car and, the more attention you give it, the longer it will last if you look after it correctly."
Allianz Global Assistance also recently advised drivers to invest in a set of winter tyres at this time of year, as they can have an impressive impact on handling and grip for vehicles in adverse conditions.
