Volkswagen (VW) Commercial Vehicles is offering owners of its models a free 'health check' to ensure their vans are in good working order.

Valued at £40, the check-up is free to anyone who has their brakes inspected by the company. It includes a complementary brake fluid change, as well as covering 28 other safety aspects for vehicle owners.

Kevin Rendell, head of service and parts for VW Commercial Vehicles in the UK, said: "The operational safety of your vehicle begins with the brakes. Healthy brake fluid is vital to ensure your vehicle's braking system is in perfect working order."

The promotion aims to give drivers peace of mind that their vehicle is in the best condition possible, with the service including checks on wear and tear of the engine and other components, as well as an examination of tyres and tread depth.

All work is carried out by a qualified VW technician.
