Vehicle manufacturer Hyundai is celebrating its inclusion in the top 50 of the annual Best 100 Global Brands list from Interbrand for the first time.
Gaining its highest ever ranking in the list at 43rd, the company witnessed a 20.5 per cent upturn in its brand value over the last 12 months to $9 billion (£5.6 billion).
This means over the last five years the vehicle manufacturer has seen a 96 per cent upturn in brand value – more than double the industry average of 42 per cent.
A statement from Interbrand read: "The Hyundai brand, which has established a solid position in the global market, continues to strengthen its image with a track record of building vehicles with leading style, design and performance."
Won Hong Cho, Hyundai Motor's chief marketing officer, added this is extremely positive news for the firm and strengthens the company's efforts to deliver greater brand value improvements in the years to come.
