Mercedes-Benz has been honoured at this year's AM Awards, with the vehicle manufacturer's My Dash system named the Best Digital Initiative of the Year.

The system allows car owners to choose the type of service they would like from the company, including online tools designed to fit the individual needs of Mercedes' customers.

Simon Oldfield, managing director for the customer services group at Mercedes-Benz UK, commented: "We're proud that AM has chosen to recognise the system for an award and that it's as popular with the judges as it is with our customers."

He added that the system has so far seen an excellent reaction from vehicle owners.

The news follows a positive month for the company in January, as its latest figures showed at 7.4 per cent rise in vehicle registrations since the start of the year.

Vehicles that have proven popular so far this year include the A-Class, AMG brand and C-Class models.
