Vehicle manufacturer Mazda has reported an 84 per cent upturn in fleet sales over the last nine months, with the introduction of its Skyactiv technology cited as a major driver of growth.
According to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, the overall UK fleet sector has witnessed an increase in volumes of just seven per cent over the same period, highlighting the excellent performance of Mazda and its expanded vehicle range.
The company has seen demand increase for its award-winning CX-5 compact SUV, while the Mazda6 helped bolster registrations in the early part of last year and the launch of the new Mazda3 is having a similar impact on figures right now.
Richard Wilson, Mazda business centre manager with responsibility for corporate sales, commented: "Many local businesses only look at transaction price, but when we explain whole life costs and the tax position of Mazda models they understand the benefits available."
