Vehicle manufacturer Mazda has announced plans to invest in the expansion of its new generation model range over the next three years.

The company will be launching five new vehicles across the coming 36 months and this will represent the swiftest pace of new model unveilings since the marque launched the previous generations of its Mazda6, Mazda3 and Mazda RX-8 between 2002 and 2004.

Mazda's UK managing director Jeremy Thomson commented: "We're predicting good times ahead while the rest of the industry is predicted to be relatively flat."

He added the firm aims to continue its strong product-led growth of recent years, as demonstrated by the ongoing upturn in sales for the marque, which are presently ten per cent ahead of forecasts.

Details of the new vehicles are yet to be released, but Mr Thomson noted this latest announcement sends out a clear message to the nation's dealers to expect more developments over the coming months.
