Vehicle manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has for the first time made it into the Centre for Brand Analysis' CoolBrands List.
Now in its 11th year, the list ranks the coolest brands of the day, with Mercedes-Benz moving into 16th spot in 2012.
In total, the ranking examined the perception of more than 10,000 brands, with the positions vioted for by 3,000 UK consumers and a panel of 39 expert judges.
Rob Halloway, communications director at Mercedes-Benz, commented: "We're backing up everything we're doing with great products, great people, excellent support of key events, new ways of communicating these cars to new and existing customers – and we're going to do it in some style."
Earlier this month, the Mercedes-Benz E-class was named as the most reliable vehicle in Europe over the last 12 months.
Warranty Direct revealed that in an examination of 20,000 of its policyholders, E-Class owners only had failures in ten per cent of cases, compared to its closest rivals which stood at 15 per cent.
