Chevrolet has announced the launch of its new MyLink technology, which it claims will make connectivity safer and easier for car owners.

Dr Thomas Sedran, president and managing director of Chevrolet Europe, commented the system is both intuitive and easy to use, while ensuring motorists do not have to take their hands off the wheel or eyes off the road in order to hook up their digital devices.

"Our expanded offer of connected radios works seamlessly with our customers' smart phones and is tailored to meet their specific needs," he added.

Debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the device features a seven or eight-inch touchscreen display and connects wirelessly to electronics owned by vehicle owners. In addition, it can store pairing information for up to five smartphones simultaneously.

MyLink is set to be available on a range of Chevrolet models over the coming months, including the new Aveo and Trax.
