A new extended partnership between Nissan and tyre manufacturer Bridgestone has been announced.

The car maker has signed a four-year agreement with Bridgestone to provide seven Nissan NV200 vans to bolster the company's Northern Ireland fleet after the firm secured a lucrative new contract with public transport operator Ulsterbus.

Expected to cover around 20,000 miles a year, each of the new NV200 models will be operated by trained Bridgestone tyre technicians and will contain a range of technical equipment to carry out portable tyre inspections of Ulsterbus vehicles.

Bridgestone fleet manager Nichola Randall said: "With a combination of strong and reliable performance and generous storage space, our technicians will be able to deliver an efficient and high-quality service to Ulsterbus across the country."

Barry Beeston, Nissan corporate sales director, added the NV200 is an ideal choice for all businesses requiring comfortable and reliable transport with excellent functionality and storage space.
