UK landscaping sector haulage specialist TMA Bark has become the first company in the UK to add a Euro-6 compliant Volvo FH to its fleet of vehicles.
The company specialises in the bulk delivery of pine products to professional growers, landscape centres and retailers across the UK and its new Volvo FH aims to make this process that much greener for the firm and its clients in the years to come.
Euro-6 is the latest diesel emissions regulation from the European Commission and sees a 75 per cent reduction in the permissible level of NOx gases produced by vehicles – to 0.46 g per KWh – in comparison to the previous Euro-5 standard .
TMA Bark company director Graham Andrews commented: "As a market leader in the UK, we feel we need to be one of the most environmentally-friendly of our type of company."
As such, the introduction of the new Euro-6 FH model is in line with the firm's green aims.
