Vehicle manufacturer Jaguar has announced the release of its new pricing for the XF Sportbrake model for 2012.

Available on the road from £31,940, the vehicle is one of the manufacturer's newest luxury offerings and is due for release to buyers by the end of this year.

Featuring a 2.2-litre diesel engine, the XF Sportbrake delivers surprising fuel economy of 55 mpg and has a CO2 rating of just 135 g/km – making it one of the greenest vehicles in its class.

In addition, those looking for greater performance can also opt for a three-litre supercharged V6 diesel engine variant, which helps raise the XF's top speed to a respectable 174 mph.

Last month, Jaguar came out on top in the annual poll of vehicle manufacturer satisfaction by UK buyers – knocking Skoda from its 11-year reign in the number one position.

Carried out by JD Power and Associates and What Car? magazine, What Car? editor-in-chief Chas Hallett commented: "This study shows that customers are really satisfied with their Jaguars, a hugely important feat for any car maker."
