Nissan has announced the launch of a new refrigerated vehicle to bolster the fleets of fresh food and catering businesses across the UK.

Costing from £19,375 on-the-road, the new Nissan NV200 Fridge is now available across the UK and sees its interior lined with an insulating cell capable of delivering excellent thermal efficiency and ensuring all produce transported by the vehicle is kept as fresh as possible.

It is moulded out of polyester-polyurethane panels and can maintain temperatures as low as zero degrees Celsius. Furthermore, it has a 2.2 sq m capacity meaning large quantities of goods can be ferried at once.

Nissan corporate sales director Barry Beeston commented: "A lot of great work has gone into developing the NV200 Fridge as the ideal solution for any fresh food company’s transportation needs."

He added the conversion of the standard NV200 model to this refrigerated design has done little to impact the vehicle's nimble handling and excellent driving performance for owners.
