Set to be unveiled to the world for the first time at next year's Geneva Motor Show, the first images of the highly anticipated Qoros GQ3 compact saloon have now been released.

The vehicle manufacturer is the new kid on the block in terms of its global standing, having only been founded 2007, and the GQ3 being its first ever model.

Volker Steinwascher, deputy chairman of the management board at Qoros, commented that the GQ3 is a vehicle aimed squarely at the young, aspirational buyer and this is something the firm has had in mind from its inception.

"As an entirely new brand, we have the advantage of being able to focus our efforts, without compromise or distraction, on meeting the demands of these customers," he noted.

The company is a 50:50 joint venture between Chery Automobile and Israel Corporation, and has benefited from an initial $1.5 billion (£938 million) investment for development.
