The new Range Rover has this week picked up its tenth major award, just three months after its global debut.

This latest accolade to be bestowed on the vehicle is the title of TECHNOBEST 2012 by the AUTOBEST group of motoring writers.

It builds on awards from Top Gear magazine, What Car?, Autoweek and Auto Motor und Sport, as well as being named 4×4 category winner in the Sunday Times' Top 100 Cars 2012 review.

Land Rover global brand director John Edwards said: "We are proud of the recognition the Range Rover is receiving from international motoring organisations and publications. It is a fantastic achievement and a great endorsement for the model."

The news follows the recent publication of an extremely positive third quarter of the financial year for Jaguar Land Rover.

As part of its Q3 results, the company reported a 20 per cent annual increase in profits to £1.2 billion and a 14 per cent rise in deliveries to 88,658 vehicles.
