Vehicle manufacturer Honda has revealed a positive set of first quarter results for the three months to the end of June 2012.
The company reported net sales and operating revenues improved by 41 per cent in comparison to the same period last year at 2,435.9 billion yen (£19.85 billion).
Furthermore, consolidated income before income taxes amounted to 194.7 billion yen – approximately 6.6 times greater than the same period last year.
Forecasts for the coming 12 months were also rosy for the firm, with predictions of further rises for net sales and other operating revenue, as well as operating income and equity in income of affiliates by this time in 2013.
Earlier this month, the attendees of the EcoVelocity event held a survey of which UK car manufacturer is viewed as the greenest brand, with Honda coming out on top.
