Volkswagen Group (VW) has announced a considerable rise in sales for the first ten months of the year.
The company posted its latest results today (November 15th) and highlighted a 4.7 per cent rise in deliveries between January and October in comparison to the same period last year at 7.85 million vehicles.
Overall, the manufacturer saw its best performance in the Asia-Pacific region – up 15.6 per cent annually – while deliveries in North America rose by 7.8 per cent and European sales fell slightly, down 1.1 per cent.
Furthermore, the firm's October statistics were similarly impressive, with a 3.8 per cent rise to 818,900 models across the globe.
VW group board member for sales Christian Klingler said: "Following a good start to the fourth quarter, the group expects record deliveries for the full year."
He added the marque is performing extremely well at present despite ongoing difficulties being witnessed in many European markets. Indeed, there are now signs that the sector is beginning to stabilise and this bodes well for the coming months.
