The Nissan Qashqai has been named this year's Best SUV model at the annual What Car? Used Car Awards.
Picking up the honour for the third year in a row, the vehicle was praised for its five-star Euro NCAP safety rating, as well as its reliability, in-car technology and "exceptional affordability".
What Car? editor-in-chief Chas Hallett commented: "Motorists love its chunky looks, visibility and safety features. It's really a small family car in disguise."
Jim Wright, managing director of Nissan GB, added the fact the Qashqai continues to pick up industry accolades six years after its launch "speaks volumes for its design and quality".
The vehicle is no stranger to awards, as it picked up 13 accolades in total in 2007 alone. It is now the most decorated British-built car in history, with its manufacture taking place in Sunderland.
Overall, more than 1.8 million Qashqai models have now been sold around the world.
