Mercedes-Benz has published its latest figures for July and revealed it had a record-breaking month in terms of new car registrations.
The firm sold a total of 7,503 cars last month, making July 2013 the best ever July on record for the company. In addition, the E-Class has so far this year seen record demand, with 16,374 models taking to the roads.
High temperatures seen across the UK in the summer so far have also bolstered sales of the manufacturer's SL-Class Roadster, with a record 111 sold in July, while the month also witnessed an 89 per cent rise in AMG sales.
Marcus Breitschwerdt, president and chief executive officer of Mercedes-Benz UK, commented: "We're working hard to deliver great cars, great service and great experiences for even more customers now and into the future."
He added the company is happy to see the momentum it built during the earlier months of the year coming forward into the summer.
