Vehicle manufacturer Seat has unveiled its new third-generation Leon model.

The car will feature an industry first in the Hatchback class – full-LED headlights – and will also debut the new Seat logo.

Further advances will include a cutting-edge new chassis to improve fuel efficiency, as well as an advanced infotainment system and driving aids.

James Muir, president of Seat SA, commented: "It is a car with sporting character and wide-ranging strengths. It brings quality and technologies from the full-size class into the compact segment."

He noted that the model is to be launched later in the year across the UK in its five-door variant, with further models to add to the range in the future, delivering a whole family of Leon vehicles for buyers.

The new Leon's greenest incarnation will be the Ecomotive variant, which claims to be able to travel up to 100 km on just 3.8 litres of fuel and offers CO2 emissions of just 99 g/km.
