A range of new government-funded seminars have been launched by road safety charity Brake aimed at reducing the number of at-work crashes for UK motorists.
Ellie Pearson, senior professional engagement officer at Brake, said: "Driving is the most dangerous thing many people do at work, so it's vital for businesses of any size with staff who drive for work to manage this risk."
She went on to add small to medium-sized enterprises in particular can have difficulties in implementing safer driving schemes and therefore this is one group that could certainly benefit from the advice on offer.
As such, Brake will be holding three events in December 2013 and January and February next year that will look at influencing driver behaviour, ensuring the safety of larger vehicles and the basics and benefits of addressing at-work road safety.
They will aim to offer practical, simple and tried-and-tested advice for all professional drivers.
