The first UK buyer of the hotly-anticipated Subaru BRZ has received their vehicle.

Ed Horner of Wanstead in north-east London has taken charge of his new vehicle this week and is overjoyed to be the first UK customer to do so.

He commented: "I was drawn to the BRZ by its light weight, traditional sports car shape and Subaru's focus on creating an enjoyable rear-wheel drive car. The first time I saw it, I knew I had to have one."

Mr Horner added that he also owns a number of other Subaru vehicles, including an Impreza Turbo, and stated he has never had anything go wrong with any of them.

The BRZ features the manufacturer's new 2.0-litre Boxer engine delivering 200 bhp and comes with alloy wheels, vehicle dynamic control and ABS as standard.

It also incorporates a dual-zone automatic air conditioning system for occupants and has USB and iPod connectivity for in-car entertainment.
