Fiat Professional has celebrated a third victory in a row for its Fiorino model, after the vehicle was named Best Light Van at the 2014 Van Fleet World Honours.
Having picked up the award in both 2012 and 213, the Fiorino is now among a select group to have claimed a triple crown in this competitive category.
Marketing manager at Fiat Professional UK Francesco Russiello commented: "To keep the Fiorino in front, as with every product in our range, we are constantly improving all aspects of the ownership experience.
"With the new Sportivo models we feel we've got an irresistible product for the owner-operator or small enterprise that really wants to make a statement."
Dan Gilkes, editor of Van Fleet World, stated the versatility and load-carrying capabilities of the Fiorino continue to help the model to remain one step ahead of its competitors, while the addition of a range of new features for the 2014 variant have also bolstered the vehicle's drivability and safety.
He referred to the use of Fiat's Traction+ grip control system and the provision of mud and snow tyres as standard for the model as being key to the Fiorino's ongoing popularity.
Available on the road from £9,695, the Fiorino continues to hold an affordable price point for fleets looking to add versatility to their offering, while use of the manufacturer's MultiJet II turbo-diesel engine also helps to ensure its environmental impact is kept to a minimum.
The award was presented to Fiat at a gala ceremony held at the Royal Automobile Club at Pall Mall in London earlier this month, with other winners on the night including the Audi A3, Volkswagen Up!, several Ford Transit models, the Peugeot 308 and Range Rover Sport.
Each year the publication holds the showpiece event to recognise the UK's leading fleet car providers.
