Nissan has published its first ever in-depth report into the UK's professional van drivers.
"Our research gives an insight into what modern day van drivers and fleet managers are thinking and the challenges they face as part of a modern van fleet," commented Jon Pollock, Nissan's corporate sales director.
According to its findings, almost half (48 per cent) of respondents drive less than 100 miles per day and 26 per cent drive up to 200 miles, while fuel prices, vehicle purchase costs and changes in regulations were among the chief concerns for this group at present.
It also showed that cleanliness was top of the agenda for many professional drivers, with 92 per cent claiming that they drive and feel better when their vehicle is clean and clutter-free.
The study was published at this year's Commercial Vehicle (CV) Show, which opened on Tuesday (April 9th) and comes to an end today.
Meanwhile, Ford has unveiled its latest Transit Courier model at this year's event, with the vehicle manufacturer keen to highlight the van's class-leading load volume of 2.3 cubic metres and its array of adjustable features to make transporting goods that much easier.
