Companies in the garden industry can enjoy reduced fuel costs thanks to a partnership between The Fuelcard People and the Horticultural Trades Association (HTA).

Members of the HTA can fill up with diesel or petrol at a much cheaper price than that shown on the pump by taking out a fuel card with The Fuelcard People.

They don’t even need to pay for the fuel there and then either, with the luxury of up to two weeks interest-free credit (subject to credit status).

The Fuelcard People clients can look forward to saving up to 5p per litre on national average pump prices and up to 10p at motorway fuel stops.

Aside from saving on the cost of fuel, those within the garden industry can also cut down on administration, with no fiddly fuel receipts to process, credit card statements or cash reimbursement.

A fuel card with The Fuelcard People means one weekly invoice covers all refuelling for every vehicle.

Every The Fuelcard People customer has their own dedicated account manager, so they can rest assured any queries are handled by the same person every time, and someone who understands their business and their needs.

As fuel cards can be linked to a specific driver or vehicle, they are more secure, with any unusual refuelling activity flagged up on The Fuelcard People’s system. If a fuel card falls into the wrong hands, there is zero liability once loss of the card is notified.

Dating back to 1899, the HTA represents garden retailers, growers, manufacturers and suppliers, landscapers, service providers and any other company that operates in the UK gardening industry.

Ben Robb, brand manager at The Fuelcard People, comments: “So many industries have turned on to the benefits unlocked by taking out a fuel card and it’s great to see that horticultural trades can enjoy the same advantages.”
