A significant rise in worldwide group sales has been reported by vehicle manufacturer BMW in October.
The company witnessed a 5.2 per cent increase in vehicle deliveries last month to record levels of 165,851 units, with both the BMW and Mini brands performing extremely well in October and during the first ten months of the year.
Indeed, the BMW 3 Series remains an important driver of growth for the firm, with a 26.1 per cent upturn in sales, while Mini models have achieved record sales for the year so far.
Ian Robertson, member of the board of management responsible for sales and marketing at BMW, commented: "We are confident that sales will continue to develop positively until the end of the year and we will continue to strive for profitable growth."
He added this positive latest result comes despite strong headwinds in Europe and a number of other major markets around the globe.
